Try http://www.ns.ec.gc.ca/epb/index.html sure to visit (click) the provincial offices. The menu on the left side of the page contains information on large wildlife. After reading the web pages, write a polite e-mail to each of the provincial directors and ask them some of that you might that interests can be anything, but learning a bit about it so you can put two or three good questions. They may even send something by mail. Maybe you might even volunteer to help protect Piping Plover nesting. This is an interesting and fun assignment you can really enjoy. Best wishes!
